Truck Driver Stakeholder Meeting/Teleconference

On July 20, 2010, the department held a teleconference to collect input from the trucking industry to help identify problems and solutions concerning work on public construction projects subject to Alaska’s Little Davis Bacon Act (AS 36.05.010 – AS 36.05.110).

Additional Written Comments
The department is collecting additional comments to allow for input from individuals who were unable to attend the meeting or would like to clarify or provide counterpoints to comments that have been made to date. In mid-August of 2010, the department intends to post all additional comments for public review. The department will evaluate all of the comments and determine whether an additional public meeting should be held or whether other action should be taken or proposed.
